Skanda-janma: Śivā/Svāhā, Agni, and the Manifestation of Guha

Mahābhārata 3.214

चित्तस्य हि प्रसादेन हन्ति कर्म शुभाशुभम्‌ । प्रसन्नात्मा55त्मनि स्थित्वा सुखमानन्त्यमश्लुते,मनुष्य अपने चित्तकी पवित्रताके द्वारा ही समस्त शुभाशुभ कर्मोको नष्ट (फल देनेमें असमर्थ) कर देता है। जिसका अन्त:करण प्रसन्न (पवित्र) है, वह अपने-आपमें ही स्थित होकर अक्षय सुख (मोक्ष)-का भागी होता है

cittasya hi prasādena hanti karma śubhāśubham | prasannātmā ātmani sthitvā sukham ānantyam aśnute ||

心の澄明によって、人は善悪の業をして結縛の果を結ばしめぬ。内奥が清らかに歓喜し、自己に安住する者は、尽きることなく朽ちぬ安楽—解脱—を得る。
