परुषं च न भाषन्ते सदा सन्‍्तो द्विजप्रिया: । जो समस्त प्राणियोंपर दया करते, सदा अहिंसा-धर्मके पालनमें तत्पर रहते और कभी किसीसे कटु वचन नहीं बोलते, ऐसे संत सदा समस्त द्विजोंके प्रिय होते हैं

paruṣaṃ ca na bhāṣante sadā santaḥ dvijapriyāḥ |

徳ある者は、常に二度生まれの者(ドヴィジャ)に愛され、荒い言葉を口にしない。あらゆる生きものに慈悲を示し、不殺生(アヒンサー)の戒めを守り、決して苦い言葉を吐かぬ者は、学ある者と正しき人々にいつも愛される。
