Transliteration

mātāpitṛbhyāṃ śuśrūṣuḥ satyavādī jitendriyaḥ | mithilāyāṃ ekaḥ vyādhaḥ vasati, yaḥ mātā-pitṛ-sevakaḥ satyavādī ca jitendriyaś ca | sa te dharmam upadekṣyati | dvijaśreṣṭha! tvaṃ yathāruci tatraiva gaccha; te maṅgalaṃ bhavatu ||

Translation

バラモンは言った。「ミティラーに一人の狩人が住んでいる。父母に仕え、言葉に偽りなく、感官を制する者だ。彼がそなたにダルマを説くだろう。二度生まれの最上者よ、よしと思うままにそこへ行け—幸いがそなたに訪れんことを。」
