Agni’s Withdrawal to the Forest and Identification with Āṅgirasa (अग्न्याङ्गिरस-इतिहासः)
यद् ब्राह्मणानां कुशलं तदेषां परिकीर्तयेत्
yad brāhmaṇānāṁ kuśalaṁ tad eṣāṁ parikīrtayet
バラモンは言った。「バラモンたちの安寧と繁栄に資するものは何であれ、それを彼らのために宣べ、勧めるがよい。」
ब्राह्मण उवाच
One should actively speak in favor of, and advocate for, whatever truly benefits Brahmins—implying that right speech and counsel should be guided by dharma and the welfare of those devoted to sacred learning and ritual responsibility.
A Brahmin speaker offers a normative instruction: in the given situation, the proper response is to articulate and promote what is beneficial for Brahmins, framing the discussion around welfare-oriented dharmic counsel rather than personal gain or hostility.
