Pitṛ-mātṛ-śuśrūṣā as Paramadaivata
मार्कण्डेय उवाच शृणु राजन्निदं सर्व यथावृत्तं नराधिप । कथ्यमानं महाप्राज्ञ विस्तरेण यथातथम्,मार्कण्डेयजी कहते हैं-राजन! तुम बड़े बुद्धिमान हो। यह सारा वृतान्त मैं यथार्थरूपसे विस्तारपूर्वक कह रहा हूँ, ध्यान देकर सुनो
mārkaṇḍeya uvāca | śṛṇu rājann idaṃ sarvaṃ yathāvṛttaṃ narādhipa | kathyamānaṃ mahāprājña vistareṇa yathātatham ||
マールカンデーヤは言った。「おお王よ、人々の主よ、聞きなさい。起こったとおりに、その一切を余すところなく語ろう。おお大いなる智者よ、私は真実のまま、ありのままを詳しく述べる—ゆえに心して聴くがよい。」
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
The verse foregrounds dharmic narration: a truthful account (yathāvṛtta, yathātatham) should be given with clarity and detail, and the listener—especially a king—should hear attentively, since right understanding supports right action.
Markandeya addresses the king and signals the start (or continuation) of a detailed, accurate recounting of events, emphasizing that what follows is to be heard carefully as a faithful report.
