Educational Q&A

Even formidable powers that arise in the cosmos ultimately stand before the Supreme Lord; the narrative underscores that true sovereignty and sustaining power belong to Hari, and that cosmic order (dharma) is upheld by the divine.

Mārkaṇḍeya introduces an episode set after Brahmā’s manifestation: the two powerful demons Madhu and Kaitabha come to behold Hari, setting the stage for a larger account of divine action against disruptive forces.
