आकाशं तदपानीयं घोरं कान्तारदर्शनम् । न तत्र वृक्षच्छाया वा पानीयं केतनानि च
ākāśaṃ tadapānīyaṃ ghoraṃ kāntāradarśanam | na tatra vṛkṣacchāyā vā pānīyaṃ ketanāni ca ||
「その地は虚空のごとく—水もなく—見るも恐ろしい荒野であった。そこには木陰もなく、飲み水もなく、住まいも、身を寄せる庇護も見当たらなかった。」
