जीवनाय समाक्तलिन्नं वसु दत्त्वा महीयते । वैश्यं तु वासयेद् यस्तु सर्वयज्ञै: स इष्टवान्
jīvanāya samāktalinnaṃ vasu dattvā mahīyate | vaiśyaṃ tu vāsayed yas tu sarvayajñaiḥ sa iṣṭavān ||
マールカンデーヤは言った。「他者の命を支えるために財を与える者は称えられる。またヴァイシャ（Vaiśya）に住まいと扶助を与える者は、あらゆる供犠（ヤジュニャ）を成し遂げた者と見なされる。」
