Dharma-vyādha’s Instruction on Śiṣṭācāra and Dharma

The verse points toward the ideal of righteous kingship and heroic excellence: true greatness is not merely physical strength or martial skill, but renown that ‘shines’ because it is grounded in dharma and exemplary conduct.
In the Kapota (pigeon) episode, the speaker addresses a king/son and foretells that upon reaching the land of the Śibis he will see a celebrated, bull-like hero—setting the stage for the famed Śibi-related exemplum of virtue and royal dharma.
