The Account of the Slaying of Madhu and Kaiṭabha
तत्र रम्ये शिवे देशे बहुवृक्षसमाकुले । पूर्वस्यां दिशि रम्यायां समुद्राभ्याशतो नूप
tatra ramye śive deśe bahuvṛkṣasamākule | pūrvasyāṃ diśi ramyāyāṃ samudrābhyāśato nūpa
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。「そこには、麗しく吉祥なる地があり、数多の樹々が繁り、東の美しい方角、海の近くにあった——（物語はさらにその所在を詳らかにする）。この詩句は、清らかで快い場をもって、後に起こる出来事が克己と省察、そして正しいダルマの行いにふさわしい地で展開することを示す。」
