कृतयुगवर्णनम् तथा राजधर्मोपदेशः

गड्डां शतद्रं सीतां च यमुनामथ कौशिकीम् । चर्मण्वतीं वेत्रवर्ती चन्द्रभागां सरस्वतीम्
gaṅgāṁ śatadrūṁ sītāṁ ca yamunām atha kauśikīm | carmaṇvatīṁ vetravatīṁ candrabhāgāṁ sarasvatīm ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。大いなる魂をもつその子の腹の内をさまよい歩くうちに、私は多くの聖なる河川—ガンガー、シャタドルー、シーター、ヤムナー、カウシキー、チャルマンヴァティー、ヴェートラヴァティー、チャンドラバーガー、そしてサラスヴァティー—を目にした。
