सर्वा: प्रजा मनु: साक्षाद्‌ यथावद्‌ भरतर्षभ । इत्येतन्मात्स्यकं नाम पुराणं परिकीर्तितम्‌,भरतकुलभूषण! फिर वे पूर्वकल्पके अनुसार सारी प्रजाकी यथावत्‌ सृष्टि करने लगे। इस प्रकार यह संक्षेपसे मत्स्य पुराणका वृत्तान्त बताया गया है

Transliteration

sarvāḥ prajā manuḥ sākṣād yathāvad bharatarṣabha | ityetat mātsyakaṃ nāma purāṇaṃ parikīrtitam, bharatakula-bhūṣaṇa |

Translation

マールカンデーヤは言った。「おお、バーラタ族の雄牛よ。マヌは自ら、すべての生類を正しく、しかるべき順序に従って生み出した。かくして、バーラタの家系を飾る者よ、『マーツヤカ・プラーナ』と呼ばれる物語は、ここに簡潔に語り終えられた。」
