Vainya’s Sacrifice and the Settlement of a Dharmic Dispute
तथा बहुविधाकारा प्रावृण्मेघानुनादिता । अभ्यतीता शिवा तेषां चरतां मरुधन्वसु,पाण्डव अभी मरुप्रदेशमें ही विचरते थे, तभी मेघोंकी गर्जनासे गूँजती तथा अनेक प्रकारके रूप-रंग लिये प्रकट हुई मंगलमयी वर्षा-ऋतु भी बीत गयी
tathā bahuvidhākārā prāvṛṇmeghānunāditā | abhyatītā śivā teṣāṃ caratāṃ marudhanvasu ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。かくして、パーンダヴァたちが砂漠のごときマルダンヴァの地をさまよっていた間にも、プラーヴリットの雲の雷鳴にこだまし、さまざまに姿を変える吉祥の雨季は、やがて過ぎ去っていった。この偈は、艱難のただ中にあっても時と季節は進み続けること、そして流謫の忍耐は、自然の循環を受け入れつつ決意を捨てぬことで支えられることを示している。
