Transliteration

vaishampāyana uvāca | kvacit pradhāvaṁs tiṣṭhaṁś ca kvacic copaviśaṁs tathā | trāsayan sarvabhūtāni mahāsattvaparākramaḥ ||

Translation

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。ある時は走り、ある時は立ち止まり、またある時は腰を下ろした。獲物を得たいという欲に駆られ、勇気と武威に優れたその英雄は、恐るべき森を恐れずに巡り歩き、あらゆる生きものを震え上がらせた。
