Arjuna said: “Then, in that great battle, I shattered to dust all the falling masses of rock by means of swift, thunderbolt-like arrows, impelled by the great Indra’s weapon. Thus I used divine force with disciplined aim to neutralize the threat without faltering in my warrior-duty.”

The verse highlights kṣatriya-dharma expressed as disciplined protection: Arjuna applies divinely empowered skill to neutralize a dangerous assault. Power (astra) is shown as ethically directed—used to avert harm and uphold duty rather than for reckless destruction.
Arjuna narrates that during a fierce encounter, rock-masses were being hurled or falling in the battlefield. He counters by releasing a dense volley of swift, thunderbolt-like arrows, empowered by Indra’s weapon, pulverizing the rocks mid-air and preventing their impact.
