ततः खड्गांस्त्रिशूलांश्व॒ तोमरांश्व सहस्रश: । अस्त्रवीर्येण शतधा तैर्मुक्तानहमच्छिदम्,तब उस अस्त्रके प्रभावसे मैंने दैत्योंके चलाये हुए सहस्रों खड़्ग, त्रिशूल और तोमरोंके सौ-सौ टुकड़े कर डाले
tataḥ khaḍgāṁs triśūlāṁś ca tomarāṁś ca sahasraśaḥ | astravīryeṇa śatadhā tair muktān aham acchidam ||
ついで私は武器の威力によって、投げつけられた幾千の剣・三叉戟（トリシューラ）・投槍を、ことごとく百々の破片へと打ち砕いた。戦場のただ中でこれは、盲目的な憤怒ではなく、制御された技によって害を無力化し、志を守る—規律ある熟達を示すものであった。
