अभिफपन्नस्तु राजेन्द्र साम्बो वृष्णिकुलोद्वह: । वेगं वेगवतो राजं॑स्तस्थौ वीरो विधारयन्,राजेन्द्र! वृष्णिवेंशका भार वहन करनेवाला वीर साम्ब वेगवान्के वेगको सहन करते हुए धैर्यपूर्वक उसका सामना करने लगा
abhipannas tu rājendra sāmbo vṛṣṇikulodvahaḥ | vegaṁ vegavato rājaṁs tasthau vīro vidhārayan ||
王よ、ヴリシュニ族の誉れたる勇士サーンバは、激しく追い詰められながらも踏みとどまった。俊敏な敵の猛き勢いを不動の自制で受け止め、退かずに正面から対したのである。
