Kubera’s Fivefold Nīti and Protection of the Pāṇḍavas (वैश्रवणोपदेशः)
ततः किम्पुरुषावासं सिद्धचारणसेवितम् । ददृशुर्ह्ष्टरोमाण: पर्वत॑ं गन्धमादनम्,वहाँसे उन्हें गन्धमादन पर्वत दिखायी दिया, जो किम्पुरुषोंका निवासस्थान है। सिद्ध और चारण उसका सेवन करते हैं। उसे देखकर पाण्डवोंका रोम-रोम हर्षसे खिल उठा
tataḥ kimpuruṣāvāsaṃ siddhacāraṇasevitam | dadṛśur hṛṣṭaromāṇaḥ parvataṃ gandhamādanam ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。ついで彼らは、キンプルシャたちの住処であり、シッダやチャーラナがしばしば訪れるガンダマーダナ山を目にした。その聖なる山影を見たとき、パーンダヴァたちの全身の毛は歓喜に逆立った。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights how contact with sacred places and spiritually elevated realms naturally awakens reverence and inner joy, suggesting that purity of environment and association (with the holy and accomplished) supports dharmic upliftment.
As the journey continues in the forest narrative, the Pāṇḍavas come into view of Mount Gandhamādana, famed as the residence of Kimpuruṣas and visited by Siddhas and Cāraṇas; seeing it fills them with exhilaration and awe.
