Educational Q&A

Even amid hardship, one should practice restraint and steadiness: the Pāṇḍavas accept a simple diet (roots and fruits) and keep the mind fixed inwardly, showing that ethical strength is sustained by self-control and contemplation rather than by comfort.

During their forest exile, the Pāṇḍavas travel through various regions rich in flowers and fruits, places associated with divine seers. They continue their journey living austerely on forest produce while maintaining inner focus.
