The verse frames sacred travel as ethically meaningful: visiting holy regions inhabited by seers and remembering exemplary dialogues of gods and sages cultivates merit (puṇya), reverence for dharma, and continuity with the moral-intellectual heritage of Itihāsa.
The speaker points out the Kashmir region to the addressed hero and urges him to see it with his brothers, identifying it as a renowned sacred site where northern sages gathered and where a significant dialogue between Agni and the sage Kāśyapa occurred concerning Yayāti, the son of Nahuṣa.
