युधिछिर उवाच भवाननुगतो रामं॑ जामदग्न्यं महाबलम् । प्रत्यक्षदर्शी सर्वस्य पूर्ववृत्तस्य कर्मण:,युधिष्ठिरने पूछा--मुने! आप महाबली परशुरामजीके अनुगत भक्त हैं। उन्होंने पहले जो-जो कार्य किये हैं, उन सबको आपने प्रत्यक्ष देखा है
Yudhiṣṭhira uvāca: bhavān anugato rāmaṃ jāmadagnyaṃ mahābalam | pratyakṣadarśī sarvasya pūrvavṛttasya karmaṇaḥ ||
ユディシュティラは言った。「あなたは大いなる力をもつラーマ・ジャーマダグニャ(パラシュラーマ)に随従する篤き信徒。彼が昔なしたすべての業を、あなたはみずから目撃されたのだ。」
युधिछिर उवाच
The verse foregrounds the ethical value of reliable testimony: Yudhiṣṭhira appeals to a witness who has directly seen Paraśurāma’s past actions, implying that moral and historical judgments should rest on firsthand knowledge rather than rumor.
Yudhiṣṭhira addresses a sage/observer, noting that he is a close follower of Paraśurāma and has personally witnessed Paraśurāma’s earlier deeds—setting up a request for an authoritative account of those events.
