Surabhi–Indra Dialogue as a Governance Exemplar
ततोऊहं त्वामनुप्राप्त: कौरवाणामवेक्षया । सदा हभ्यधिकः: स्नेहः प्रीतिश्न त्वयि मे प्रभो,यह सुनकर मैं कौरवोंकी दशा देखनेके लिये तुम्हारे पास आया हूँ। राजन! तुम्हारे ऊपर सदासे ही मेरा स्नेह और प्रेम अधिक रहा है
tato 'haṃ tvām anuprāptaḥ kauravāṇām avekṣayā | sadā hy adhikaḥ snehaḥ prītiś ca tvayi me prabho ||
それゆえ私は、主よ、クル族（カウラヴァ）の有様を自ら確かめんとして、あなたのもとへ参上した。というのも、久しい昔より、あなたへの私の情愛と敬慕は他の誰よりも深かった—変わらぬ忠誠と個人的な結びつきゆえである。
