ततो राजानमासाद्य धृतराष्ट्रं यशस्विनम्‌ । स भीष्म पूजयामास वार्ष्णेयो वाग्भिरञ्जसा,तब वृष्णिनन्दन श्रीकृष्णने यशस्वी राजा धृतराष्ट्रसे मिलकर अपने उत्तम वचनोंद्वारा भीष्मजीका आदर किया

Transliteration

tato rājānam āsādya dhṛtarāṣṭraṃ yaśasvinam | sa bhīṣmaṃ pūjayāmāsa vārṣṇeyo vāgbhir añjasā ||

Translation

ついでヴァールシュネーヤ（聖なるクリシュナ）は、名高き王ドリタラーシュトラに近づき、ふさわしく気高い言葉をもって、率直にビーマを敬い奉った。この場面は、戦の緊張が高まるさなかにも、敬語と長老への崇敬を失わぬという、意図された倫理を際立たせる。
