“महाराज युधिष्ठिरकी आज्ञा तथा विधाताके रचे हुए अदृष्टसे प्रेरित हो भीम, अर्जुन, नकुल और सहदेवको साथ लेकर मैं भी वही करूँगा, जो तुम्हें अभीष्ट है ।।
dhārtarāṣṭrāḥ kālapakvā na cec chṛṇvanti me vacaḥ | śeṣyante nihatā bhūmau śvaśṛgālādanīkṛtāḥ ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「もし持国の子ら――時の滅びに熟した者ども――が我が言葉に耳を貸さぬなら、彼らは討ち倒されて地に横たわり、犬と山犬（ジャッカル）の餌食となろう。」
