कूृपाश्न विविधाकारा मनोहर्षविवर्धना: । वाप्यश्न विविधाकारा औदकानि गृहाणि च
kūpāś ca vividhākārā manoharṣa-vivardhanāḥ | vāpyāś ca vividhākārā audakāni gṛhāṇi ca ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。さまざまな井戸が築かれ、心を喜ばせ、歓びを増し加えた。形も多様な池が設けられ、家々には水のための特別な備えが整えられていた。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights a dharmic ideal of governance: ensuring accessible water through wells, ponds, and household water arrangements. Such public works are portrayed as joy-giving and ethically meritorious, expressing care for travelers and residents alike.
Vaiśampāyana describes preparations and arrangements being made—specifically the construction of varied wells and ponds and the provision of water-equipped dwellings—indicating organized, welfare-oriented infrastructure in the setting being narrated.
