Nakula’s Adaptive Counsel to Kṛṣṇa in the Kuru Assembly (उद्योगपर्व, अध्याय ७८)
असकृच्चाप्यहं तेन त्वत्कृते पार्थ भेदित: । न मया तद् गृहीतं च पापं तस्य चिकीर्षितम्,कुन्तीनन्दन! उसने मुझे भी तुम्हारी ओरसे फोड़नेके लिये अनेक बार चेष्टा की है; परंतु मैंने उसके पापपूर्ण प्रस्तावको कभी स्वीकार नहीं किया है
asakṛc cāpy ahaṃ tena tvatkṛte pārtha bheditaḥ | na mayā tad gṛhītaṃ ca pāpaṃ tasya cikīrṣitam ||
「クンティーの子よ、彼は汝のためと称して、幾度となく私を汝らから引き離し、分断しようとした。だが、彼が企てたその罪深き申し出を、私は一度たりとも受け入れなかった。」
अर्जुन उवाच
Steadfast loyalty to righteous bonds and refusal to participate in morally corrupt schemes, even when repeatedly pressured, is presented as a mark of dharma and personal integrity.
Arjuna states that someone repeatedly attempted to estrange him from his own side for Pārtha’s sake, but he rejected the sinful plan and did not consent to the proposed wrongdoing.
