अफल मन्यसे वापि पुरुषस्य पराक्रमम् | न चान्तरेण कर्माणि पौरुषेण फलोदय:
aphalaṁ manyase vāpi puruṣasya parākramam | na cāntareṇa karmāṇi pauruṣeṇa phalodayaḥ ||
アルジュナは言った。「あるいは、人の武勇を無益とお考えなのですか。過去の業（カルマ）の働きなくしては、ただ人の努力のみから果は生じないのです。」
