वैशम्पायन उवाच ततः सत्कृत्य वार्ष्णेयं विराट: पृथिवीपति: । गृहान् प्रस्थापयामास सगणं सहबान्धवम्
vaiśampāyana uvāca tataḥ satkṛtya vārṣṇeyaṃ virāṭaḥ pṛthivīpatiḥ | gṛhān prasthāpayāmāsa sagaṇaṃ sahabāndhavam ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。ついで大地の主ヴィラータ王は、ヴァールシュネーヤ(クリシュナ)をしかるべく厚くもてなし、従者と親族を伴わせてその住まいへと送り出した。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights rāja-dharma: a ruler should honor worthy guests and allies, and send them off respectfully—gratitude and proper hospitality sustain trust and righteous relationships.
After honoring Kṛṣṇa (Vārṣṇeya), King Virāṭa formally dismisses him to depart for home, along with his attendants and relatives, marking a courteous conclusion to the visit.
