Chapter 49: Sañjaya’s Enumeration of the Pāṇḍava Coalition (पाण्डवसैन्यसमागम-वर्णनम्)
पृथग्भूता: पाण्डवानां पञज्चालानां रथव्रजा: । आयान्तमभिनन्दन्ति कुन्तीपुत्रं युधिष्ठिरम्,जब दुन्तीपुत्र युधिष्ठिर सामने आते हैं, तब पाण्डवों तथा पांचालोंके रथसमूह पृथक्- पृथक् श्रेणियोंमें खड़े होकर उनका अभिनन्दन करते हैं
pṛthagbhūtāḥ pāṇḍavānāṃ pañcālānāṃ rathavrajāḥ | āyāntam abhinandanti kuntīputraṃ yudhiṣṭhiram ||
サンジャヤは言った。「パーンダヴァとパンチャーラの戦車隊は、それぞれ別々の隊列を整えて立ち、クンティーの子ユディシュティラが近づくと、歓呼して迎えた。」
संजय उवाच
Even in a martial setting, rightful leadership is upheld through disciplined conduct and respectful acknowledgment. The orderly welcome of Yudhiṣṭhira highlights the ethical ideal that power should be aligned with dharma and supported through unity and restraint rather than mere aggression.
As Yudhiṣṭhira approaches, the chariot contingents of the Pāṇḍavas and their Pañcāla allies stand in separate, organized formations and formally greet him, indicating readiness, cohesion, and allegiance within the allied camp.
