यदा मन्द: परबाणान् विमुक्तान् ममेषुभिह्ठियमाणान् प्रतीपम् । तिर्यग्विध्याच्छिद्यमानान् पृषत्कै- स्तदा युद्ध धार्तराष्ट्रोडन्वतप्स्यत्
yadā mandaḥ parabāṇān vimuktān mameṣubhiḥ pratīpaṃ nivāryamāṇān | tiryag vidhyāc chidyamānān pṛṣatkaiḥ tadā yuddhe dhārtarāṣṭro ’nutapsyati ||
サञ्जयは言った。「戦において、他の武者が放つ矢は、わたしの矢によって受け止められ、押し返されるであろう。さらにわたしの別の矢は横合いから貫き、敵の矢の群れを断ち切って粉々にする。愚鈍なるダールタラーシュトラ（ドゥルヨーダナ）がこれを見れば、戦を起こしたことを—苦く—悔いるに違いない。」
