Sañjaya’s Report
संशृण्वतस्तस्य दुर्भाषिणो वै दुरात्मन: सूतपुत्रस्य सूत । यो योद्धुमाशंसति मां सदैव मन्दप्रज्ञ: कालपक्वो5तिमूढ:
saṃśṛṇvatastasya durbhāṣiṇo vai durātmanaḥ sūtaputrasya sūta | yo yoddhum āśaṃsati māṃ sadaiva mandaprajñaḥ kālapakvo'timūḍhaḥ ||
サンジャヤは言った。「御者よ、聞け。口汚く、心も邪なる者——御者の子カルナ——について語ろう。彼は愚鈍で、死期はすでに熟し、迷妄に沈みながらも、常に私と戦うと豪語してやまぬ。私の言葉をクル族の सभा において、ドリタラーシュトラの子ドゥルヨーダナに、群臣とともに、またパーンダヴァに戦を挑むため召集された諸王すべてにも聞こえるよう、明らかに伝えよ。」
