यदा कृतास्त्रो द्रुपद: प्रचिन्वन् शिरांसि यूनां समरे रथस्थ: । क्रुद्ध: शरैश्छेत्स्यति चापमुक्ति- स्तदा युद्ध धार्तराष्ट्रोडन्वतप्स्यत्
sañjaya uvāca |
yadā kṛtāstro drupadaḥ pracinvan śirāṃsi yūnāṃ samare rathasthaḥ |
kruddhaḥ śaraiś chetsyati cāpamuktiḥ tadā yuddhe dhārtarāṣṭro ’nutapsyat ||
サञ्जयは言った。「武器の術を極めたドルパダが、戦車の上に立ち、怒りに燃えて、弓より放つ矢で若き戦士たちの首を選り分けて断ち落とし始めるとき、その戦においてドリタラーシュトラの子（ドゥルヨーダナ）は苦い悔恨に呑み尽くされるであろう。」
