शुशुभे सा सभा राजन् सिंहैरिव गिरेगुहा । जनमेजय! उस समय परिघके समान सुदृढ़ भुजाओंवाले उन शूरवीर नरेशोंके प्रवेश करनेसे वह सभा उसी प्रकार शोभा पाने लगी
śuśubhe sā sabhā rājan siṃhair iva gire-guhā | janamejaya! tadā parigha-samāna-su-dṛḍha-bhujaiḥ śūra-vīra-nṛpaiḥ praviśadbhiḥ sā sabhā tathā śobhām avāpa yathā siṃha-praveśaiḥ parvata-kandarā suśobhitā bhavati ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「王よ、その王の सभाは、獅子が入って山の洞がいよいよ映えるように、ひときわ輝いた。ジャナメージャヤよ、鉄の棍棒のごとく堅固な腕をもつ勇将の諸王が入場すると、殿堂はいっそう威容を増した。」
वैशम्पायन उवाच

Vaiśampāyana describes the scene of a royal assembly becoming radiant as mighty warrior-kings enter; their formidable presence is compared to lions entering a mountain cave, elevating the atmosphere with awe and latent tension.
