तूष्णीमेक उपासीत चेष्टेत मनसापि न | तथा संस्तुतिनिन्दाभ्यां प्रीतिरोषौ विवर्जयेत्‌,इसलिये सब प्रकारकी चेष्टासे रहित होकर एकान्तमें उपासना करे, मनसे भी कोई चेष्टा न होने दे तथा स्तुतिमें राग और निन्दामें द्वेष न करे

tūṣṇīm eka upāsīta ceṣṭeta manasāpi na | tathā saṁstuti-nindābhyāṁ prīti-roṣau vivarjayet ||

ゆえに、人は沈黙して独り観想に住し、外の営みを離れ、心にさえ動揺を起こさぬようにせよ。また同様に、称賛によって生じる執着と、非難によって生じる怒りとを、ともに捨て去るべきである。
