Transliteration

ahaṃ tu tāñ chitaibāṇair anūnīya raṇe balāt

Translation

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「だが私は、戦場のただ中で、力をもって鋭い矢で彼らを屈服させた。」この一句は、クシャトリヤの戦いに宿る苛烈な掟を示す。戦場が決然たる制圧を求めるとき、説得は強制に道を譲るのである。
