Even amid political crisis, a ruler must uphold dharma by honoring those who embody learning, disciplined conduct, and moral integrity; reverence to such Brāhmaṇas is presented as an ethical duty and a stabilizing social principle.
Yudhiṣṭhira instructs Saṃjaya to go promptly and convey respectful salutations to worthy Brāhmaṇas—those characterized by purity, disciplined practice, Vedic study, noble birth, and comprehensive adherence to dharma—framing the mission in terms of proper protocol and moral order.
