परशुराम ताड़के समान विशाल धनुष लिये हुए थे। जब वे मेरे लिये बाण उठाने लगे, तब दयालु महर्षियोंने उन्हें रोक दिया। वह बाण कालाग्निके समान भयंकर था। अमेयस्वरूप भार्गवने कुपित होनेपर भी मुनियोंके कहनेसे उस बाणका उपसंहार कर लिया ।।
tato ravir mandamarīcimaṇḍalo jagāmāstaṃ pāṃsupuñjāvagūḍhaḥ | niśā vyagāhat sukhaśītamārutā tato yuddhaṃ pratyavahārayāvaḥ ||
パラシュラーマは、ターダカーにも比すべき巨大な弓を携えていた。彼が私に向けて矢を取り上げたとき、慈悲深き大聖仙たちがこれを制した。その矢はカーラ―グニの火のごとく恐るべきものであった。測り知れぬ本性をもつバールガヴァは、怒りに燃えながらも、牟尼たちの言葉に従ってその矢を収め、引き戻した。やがて戦場に舞う塵が日輪を覆い、柔らかな光のみを残して太陽は西の地平へ沈んだ。夜が訪れ、心地よい冷涼の風が吹きはじめた。そのとき、我ら二人は戦いを中止した。
