अयुतान्यथ खर्वाणि निखर्वाणि च कौरव । राम: शराणां संक्रुद्धो मयि तूर्ण न्‍्यपातयत्‌

Transliteration

ayutāny atha kharvāṇi nikharvāṇi ca kaurava | rāmaḥ śarāṇāṃ saṃkruddho mayi tūrṇaṃ nyapātayat ||

Translation

ビーシュマは語った。「おおクル族の者よ。するとラーマ（パラシュラーマ）は怒りに燃え、たちまち私に向けて数えきれぬ矢を雨のごとく浴びせかけた――万をも超える大群の矢で、ただ力ずくで私を圧し伏せようとしたのだ。」
