को जातु परभावां हि नारीं व्यालीमिव स्थिताम् | वासयेत गृहे जानन् स्त्रीणां दोषो महात्यय:
ko jātu parabhāvāṁ hi nārīṁ vyālīm iva sthitām | vāsayet gṛhe jānan strīṇāṁ doṣo mahātyayaḥ ||
「誰が、他に心を寄せる女を—雌蛇のごとく危うきものを—知りながら家に住まわせようか。女の過ち、すなわち他の男への執着は、大いなる災いの因となる。」
