अम्बा–राम–भीष्म संवादः
Amba–Rama–Bhishma Dialogue on Vow and Refuge
महाराज भरतनन्दन! फिर उन वेदवादी मुनियोंको साथ ले परशुरामजी राजकन्या अम्बाके साथ कुरक्षेत्रमें आये ।।
nyaviśanta tataḥ sarve parigṛhya sarasvatīm | tāpasās te mahātmāno bhṛguśreṣṭha-puraskṛtāḥ ||
それから大徳の苦行者たちは皆、サラスヴァティー河の岸に身を寄せ、婆利具（ブリグ）族の第一人者たるパラシュラーマを先頭にいただいて、その夜をそこで過ごした。物語のうえでは、これはダルマに則った意図的な停留である。彼らがクルクシェートラに至ったのは、焦燥や敵意ゆえではなく、尊ばれる仙賢の導きのもと、聖なる河畔を、アンバーの訴えに関わる決断的行動の前に、評議と自制を行うにふさわしい場として選び取ったのである。
