ऑपन--माजल बछ। जि: अष्टस प्तत्याधिकशततमो< ध्याय: अम्बा और परशुरामजीका संवाद
bhīṣma uvāca |
evam uktas tadā rāmo jahi bhīṣmam iti prabho |
uvāca rudatīṁ kanyāṁ codayantīṁ punaḥ punaḥ ||
ビーシュマは語った。するとラーマ（パラシュラーマ）は、「主よ、ビーシュマを討て」と告げられ、泣きながら幾度も促すその乙女にこう言った。「美しき者よ、カーシー王の姫よ。わが誓いによれば、ヴェーダに通じたバラモンに必要が生じた時にのみ、私は武器を取る。かかる理由なくして、望むままに兵刃を執ることはない。ゆえに、この誓いを守りつつ、そなたのために他に何を成せようか。」
