As a colophon, the verse itself teaches indirectly: it frames the Ambā episode as a completed unit within the war-preparation book, highlighting how personal injury, vows, and the pursuit of redress become ethically consequential forces that feed into the larger dharmic breakdown preceding the Kurukṣetra war.
The text is closing the chapter: it announces that the dialogue between Śaikhāvatī and Ambā in the Ambopākhyāna section of the Udyoga Parva has ended, and that the one-hundred-and-seventy-fifth chapter is complete.
