यथोद्दिष्टानि सैन्यानि पाण्डवानामयोजयत् | जयाय पाण्बुपुत्राणां यत्तस्तस्थौ रणाजिरे,उनके मनमें युद्धके लिये दृढ निश्चय था। मेधावी धृष्टद्युम्नने पाण्डवोंकी पूर्वोक्त सेनाओंकी विधिपूर्वक व्यूहरचना करके उन सबको युद्धके लिये नियुक्त किया। तत्पश्चात् वे पाण्डवोंकी विजयके लिये संनद्ध होकर समरांगणमें खड़े हुए
sañjaya uvāca | yathoddiṣṭāni sainyāni pāṇḍavānām ayojayat | jayāya pāṇḍuputrāṇāṁ yattas tasthau raṇājire ||
サンジャヤは言った。「先に示されたとおり、ドリシュタデュムナはパーンダヴァ軍を正しく戦陣に配し、各部をそれぞれの持ち場へと据えた。戦への決意を固め、パーンドゥの子らの勝利を求めて、彼らは武装を整え、戦場に立って備えた。」
