अभिमानस्यथ दर्पस्य क्रोधपारुष्ययोस्तथा । नैप्ठुयस्यावलेपस्य आत्मसम्भावनस्य च
abhimānasyatha darpasya krodhapāruṣyayostathā | naiṣṭhuryasyāvalepasyātmasambhāvanasya ca
サンジャヤは言った。「(彼は過失として)自惚れと驕慢、怒りと苛烈さ、さらに残忍さ、無礼な高慢、そして自己賛美を挙げた――それらは判断を蝕み、ダルマにかなう行いを損なう悪徳である。」
संजय उवाच
The verse lists inner vices—conceit, arrogance, anger, harsh speech, cruelty, insolence, and self-exaltation—as moral dangers that distort judgment and lead one away from dharma; restraint and humility are implied antidotes.
