उलूकदूतवाक्यम् / Ulūka’s Message to the Pāṇḍavas

विभीषयन्निव जगत्‌ पाण्डवानभ्यवर्तत । रुक्‍मी मेघकी गर्जनाके समान भयानक टंकार करनेवाले विजय नामक धनुषको पाकर सम्पूर्ण जगत्‌को भयभीत-सा करता हुआ पाण्डवोंके यहाँ आया

vibhīṣayann iva jagat pāṇḍavān abhyavartata | rūkṣa-megha-garjanāke samāna-bhayānaka-ṭaṅkāra-karaṇavāle vijaya-nāmaka-dhanuṣko pākar sampūrṇa-jagatko bhayabhīta-sā kartā huā pāṇḍavoṅke yahā̃ āyā |

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。「まるで全世界を脅かすかのように、彼はパーンダヴァのもとへ進み寄った。雷雲の轟きにも似た恐るべき弦音を放つ『ヴィジャヤ』の弓を得て、彼は彼らの側へ来たり、世はことごとく恐怖に打たれたかのようであった。」
