वैशम्पायन उवाच प्रतियाते तु दाशाहें राजा दुर्योधनस्तदा । कर्ण दुःशासनं चैव शकुनिं चाब्रवीदिदम्‌

vaiśampāyana uvāca

pratiyāte tu dāśārhe rājā duryodhanas tadā |

karṇa duḥśāsanaṃ caiva śakuniṃ cābravīd idam ||

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。王よ、ダーシャールハ(シュリー・クリシュナ)が去ったのち、その時ドゥルヨーダナ王はカルナ、ドゥフシャーサナ、そしてシャクニに向かい、次のように言った—和解ではなく戦へと急がせ、彼らの決意をいよいよ硬くする策議の端緒であった。
