आनृशंस्यमथो वृत्तं रक्षन्‌ सत्पुरुषोचितम्‌ । अतोडर्थकरमप्येतन्न करोम्यद्य ते वच:

Transliteration

ānṛśaṁsyam atho vṛttaṁ rakṣan satpuruṣocitam | ato ’rthakaram apy etan na karomy adya te vacaḥ ||

Translation

カルナは言った。「このような窮地にあっても、私は慈悲を守り、善人にふさわしい行いを損なわぬ。ゆえに、たとえ汝の命が利となろうとも、今日ばかりはその言葉に従わない。」
