Kuntī–Karṇa Saṃvāda: Lineage Disclosure and Appeal to Fraternal Dharma
प्राड्मुखस्योर्ध्वबाहो: सा पर्यतिछठत पृष्ठतः । जप्यावसानं कार्यार्थ प्रतीक्षन्ती तपस्विनी
prāṅmukhasyordhvabāhoḥ sā paryatiṣṭhat pṛṣṭhataḥ | japyāvasānaṃ kāryārthaṃ pratīkṣantī tapasvinī ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。彼が東に面し、両腕を高く掲げて聖なる誦句（ジャパ）を唱えているあいだ、彼女はその背後に静かに立ち、唱誦の終わりを待っていた――苦行の女クンティは、ある必要のためにそこにいたのである。儀礼を乱さず、時至るのを待つ慎みがここに示される。
