Educational Q&A

The verse functions as a portent: when inner restraint collapses into rage and hostility, nature is described as mirroring that disorder through terrifying signs. Ethically, it warns that unchecked anger and the drive toward violence obscure dharma and lead to destructive consequences.

The narrator describes a fearsome manifestation—smoke-laden flames bursting from the eyes, nostrils, and ears—depicting an ominous, supernatural sign associated with extreme fury and the escalating crisis that will culminate in war.
