धर्षिता: काममन्युभ्यां क्रोधलो भवशानुगा: । “क्रोध और लोभके वशीभूत हो काम एवं रोषसे तिरस्कृत होकर कुछ पापात्मा एवं मूढ़ मानव यहाँ आकर भारी बखेड़ा पैदा करना चाहते हैं
dharṣitāḥ kāmamanyubhyāṃ krodhalobhavaśānugāḥ |
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。欲と怒りに圧され、憤怒と貪欲の支配に従い、情欲に駆られて侮りに燃える、罪深く迷妄の者どもがここへ来て、大いなる騒擾を引き起こそうとしている。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights how desire and resentment, when reinforced by anger and greed, distort judgment and push people toward harmful, disruptive actions—an ethical warning that inner passions can become the root cause of social conflict.
Vaiśampāyana characterizes certain men as being driven by passion and wrath and under the control of anger and greed, implying that their arrival and intentions are to create turmoil—setting a moral frame for the unfolding political and martial tensions of the Udyoga Parva.
